This package is for new adult drivers starting their learning experience with Greenbriar Driving Academy. 

GOAL:

Day 1: Learning the Basics: 

The goal of the first day is to quickly review the basics of driving. This lesson will cover the car set up and controls, basic maneuvers, (Example: turning, stopping, starting, scanning, SMOG, blind spots, 3-point turn, backing, mirror checks) while working at slower speeds on city streets.

Day 2: Building Up Speed: 

The goal of this lesson is to build up faster speeds (up to 55 MPH) while working on back/rural roads. This lesson will cover targeting, speed control, lane position and maintaining a consistent speed.

Day 3: Highways and Interstates: 

The goal of this lesson is to learn to safely merge/enter the interstate, keep a safe following distance, change lanes, merge off the interstate.

The above is a basis idea of the goals that we try to accomplish in the first three lessons. We will always work with each student on their specific needs and will only progress the lesson if it is safe to do so. We want these lessons to be educational and fun! We want to teach you to be a respectful, safe, and confident driver.
